Insight to Action ("I," "me") is the coaching practice of Elaine Sigurdson, based in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. I take your privacy seriously, and this page explains in plain language what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it.

What I collect, and why

When you contact me or book a consultation. If you send a message through the contact form or book a time through the scheduling calendar, I receive the information you provide: your name, email address, and anything you choose to share in your message. I use it to respond to you and to prepare for our conversation, nothing else.

When you download the free guide or join the newsletter. If you request Finding Your Ground, I collect your name and email address to deliver the guide. If you also check the box to receive my newsletter, I use your email to send occasional messages with practical insight for leaders. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. I never send the newsletter without your express consent.

When you browse the site. This website is built on Wix, which uses cookies and collects standard technical information (such as browser type and pages visited) to make the site function and to provide basic visitor statistics. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings.

What I never do

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. I do not share it with third parties for their marketing. I collect only what the purposes above require, and nothing this website collects is connected to the confidential content of coaching engagements, which is protected separately under my coaching agreements and professional ethics.

Service providers

A small number of trusted services process information on my behalf to run this website: Wix and Calendly. Each processes your information only to provide its service, under its own privacy safeguards. Some of these providers store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

How long I keep it

I keep contact and newsletter information only as long as it serves the purpose you provided it for. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, your address is removed from the mailing list. If you would like information deleted entirely, ask (see below) and I will remove it, except where I am required to retain it.

Your choices and rights

You may ask at any time to see the personal information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. You may withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting me directly. I comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
